Plaques and Memorials inside St. Mary's Church

Plaque 23a

William de Wakebridge

a carved tomb

memorial plaque 23a

The effigy of William de Wakebridge, one if the greatest St Mary's Church benfactors, who lived in the mid 1300s.

Members of the Bellairs family have claimed that this is the effigy of Sir Roger Belairs but that theory seems to have been disproved.
