Florence Nightingale and her luggage

Thank you to Glynne Wait

Two invoices for Nightingale at Lea Hurst in 1871. The larger one relates to luggage, etc. from London to Whatstandwell, while the smaller one is for luggage from Ambergate to Whatstandwell, which appears to have originated at St. Pancras. The cost of £4.2s.0d looks to be quite high at first sight. However, you will see that the fifteen packages weighed in excess of 1 ton.

An earlier parcels waybill from Nottingham to Ambergate dated 4th August 1864, but with the consignee being a Mr Howitt of Crich.
