One of the oldest buildings in Wheatcroft is Beech Farm
Above the main door it has a date stone of 1613 (1673?)with the initials WJE
On the gable end is an early form of weather proofing an extension. The stone slabs which jut out act as rain diverters away from the joint.
Beech Farm has the most magnificent cruck barn.
