Amos Rodgers brother James Rodgers was also killed and is on the Roll of Honour, as is brother George Rodgers and his half/step brother Frederick Wragg.

The Sulonika Campaign was part of Greek/Bulgarian Campaign – for every one killed in battle three died of malaria or flu. In the Battle of Doiran, or Vardar or Strumica Vallery British troops were massacred charging through their own gas, unprotected, up a sheer hillside. A forgotten battle barely reported. About 4000 dead. The war in Salonika ended 18/9/18.
