FRITCHLEY MAN WOUNDED
Mrs Emma Cowlishaw, who is a widow, of Fritchley, has received a letter from her son, Arthur, a drummer in the 33rd Infantry Brigade, 6th Service Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, with the Expeditionary Forces in Greece, stating that he was in the General Hospital at Wandsworth, London, suffering a wound the nature of which was not stated. This is the second time he had been wounded, the first being at the Dardanelles when he was taken to a hospital in Cairo. He enlisted just after the outbreak of war and has been in the fighting line for the past six months. He is 20 years of age and was formerly a member of Crich Brass Band.
